Step 1 - Define Required Layout
- First, decide on how many different layout definitions (master forms) are required.
- Second, define which parameters the different layouts depend on.
- For example:
- Do I need a different layout definition per sales organization or a global layout for the whole company?
- Do I need a different layout definition for each country?
- Do I need a different layout definition per output channel?
Step 2 - Define Content Variants

- Once the layout is defined, the corresponding content (logos, texts) needs to be defined for each layout definition (master form).
- For example:
- Do I need a separate logo for each layout definition?
- Do I need different footer texts for each layout definition?

The simplest case would be one form master for the one global layout.

However, there can be as many master forms as necessary. For example, one master form per organization unit.
Step 3 - Configure Identified Layout Definitions

- The activity "Define Rules for Determination of Master Form Template" provides customers a set of parameters to determine a master form template (layout definition).
- The available parameters are:
- Organization Type a ID and Organization Unit Type & ID
- Channel, Sender Country, and Form Template
- Customers cannot extend the list of parameters.
- No application-specific attributes can be added to the list of parameters, as a master form is designed to work across applications.
