Overview

The support log assistant tool analyzes text files such as logs, traces, and configuration files automatically. The tool then recommends solutions to known issues found as a result of the analysis and highlights the most important details in the files provided. On the SAP for Me customer portal, the support log assistant analysis is activated during case creation, when troubleshooting files are attached. It is also freely available as a standalone self-service web application running on the SAP Business Technology Platform. Leverage the combined expertise of customer support today with this innovative approach to automated log analysis.

The tool:

  • Offers automated analysis of support files for known issues and recommendations
  • Is powered by the SAP Business Technology Platform, scan log/trace files in your web browser
  • Identifies log issues and provides references to relevant SAP Notes and SAP Knowledge Base Articles

Access

When you create a case and attach files to it in the ‘Attachments’ section, support log assistant analysis occurs automatically. You can also access the support log assistant as a standalone tool by either:

You can then use the support log assistant effectively by following the steps below:

  1. Add log files.

  2. To scan files, choose Next.

  3. Review raised alerts and suggested solutions.

  4. Provide feedback on the efficacy of the analysis.

  5. Download the 'Analysis Report' and 'Archive Session Files' if you want to save or share the analysis results.
