Scenario
Master data has been loaded, but sometimes deletion of master data is needed. Let's see which possibilities SAP BW/4HANA offers to delete master data.
How to Delete Master Data

A loading process is called a request. You can view information about requests and check whether the data has been posted and updated successfully.
When a request to load master data has been executed successfully, the Delete button to delete the request isn't available for selection. Although the data has been loaded successfully from a technical point of view, you may still want to delete the data as you don’t like the results. For this scenario, the option Delete Data can be used.

You can use the option Delete Data to delete master data and texts directly from the master data table in SAP BW/4HANA. In contrast to deleting at single record level, you can use this function to delete all the existing master data and texts for a Characteristic in one action.
However, there are prerequisites to delete master data:
There must be no transactional data in SAP BW/4HANA for the master data in question.
The master data of the Characteristic isn't used as an attribute for other InfoObjects.
There must not be any hierarchies for this master data.
If you choose the Delete Data function, the program checks the entries in the master data table affected to see if they’re used in other objects.
