System Preferences

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to update system preferences

System Preferences

The first step to configure your new environment is to configure system preferences. Only an administrator can update these preferences, and all changes apply globally.

Calculation Preferences contains settings that fine tune the calculation process. We will cover this in detail in the unit Calculations and Results.

Import contains settings that apply to the Validate and Transfer process, which moves data from staging tables to production tables. For example, in this tab you can specify the total number of errors logged during a single import.

Language Support allows you to customize the system to run on machines set to different language locales. For example, if you want the application to run on machines set either to English (United States) or French (France) locales, you must add those two locales to the configuration.

Communicator Configuration contains settings for Plan Communicator features, such as enabling DocuSign and multi language configuration for plan documents.

Data Protection Policy allows you to delete Personal Identifiable Information (PII) from Sales Transaction Data by specifying a retention period for transaction PII fields. Once the duration specified in Retention Period for PII in Transactions ends, the system automatically purges the specific transaction PII fields.

The Consent Settings tab allows you to manage consent to product engagement analytics. SAP SuccessFactors Incentive Management leverages Gainsight PX for this purpose, and the first administrator to log in is prompted to allow its use. This consent can be enabled or disabled on this page.
