Configuring Post-Processing Events

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to configure post-processing events

Introduction

You will learn how to configure post-processing events in the SAP Cell and Gene Therapy Orchestration solution. This application allows you to map predefined business contexts and events with optional pre-check rules, which helps automate subsequent events by leveraging the Post-Processing Framework (PPF) integration.

Post-Processing Events

In the SAP Cell and Gene Therapy Orchestration solution, this application can be found under the Configuration tab or use Configure Post-Processing Events in the open search section to access it. This application can configure multiple events to trigger in different contexts. Since the SAP Cell and Gene Therapy Orchestration is connected to Post Processing Framework (PPF), this configuration helps in automating the subsequent events with pre-check rules and conditions.

The image shows the Configuration menu in the SAP Cell and Gene Therapy Orchestration solution, with various options such as Configure Flow Section Types, Configure Number Range, Configure Rules, Configure Destinations, and Configure Post-Processing Events.

Since the Business contexts and events are predefined and delivered with the solution, the creation of a new entry is no longer applicable.

The image shows the Configure Post-Processing Events application in the SAP Cell and Gene Therapy Orchestration solution. It displays a list of business contexts, each with an associated entity and status. The application allows users to search, add, and edit post-processing events, as well as view details such as the business context description, entity, and status.

Activation and Deactivation

Events can be mapped to the business context and events with pre-check rule. Pre-check rules ID are nothing but pre-conditions of the business rules created in SAP Workflow Management and they are optional. For more information on how to configure pre-check rules, refer to the following: Business Rules for ERP Sales Order Integration.

When the event mapping is set, the status of the post-processing event is defaulted to Active. At any point in time, the finished product shipment material entry can be deactivated by providing the right deactivation Reason and optional comments. In the same way, deactivated entries can be activated by providing the right Activation Reason.

It displays the details of a post-processing event named Approve_Order, which is currently in an Active status. The application provides information about the business context, entity, and the associated events, as well as options to edit and deactivate the event.
