Configuring the Setup of a Material

Objective

By mastering these configuration capabilities, you will be able to optimize your material management processes and drive efficiency throughout your cell and gene therapy operations.

Material Group

In the SAP Cell and Gene Therapy Orchestration solution, this application can be found under the Configuration tab or use Configure Material Groups in the open search section to access it. The Material Group is to group the materials with similar attributes like Blood, Tissues, Cells and so on.

Configuring Material Groups

Click on Create as pointed to in the figure above on how to create a new entry.

The Configuration consists of the following:

  • Unique ID of 40 Characters
  • Description of 250 Characters.

Activation and Deactivation

When a new Material Group is saved, the status is set to Active by default. At any point in time, the Material Group can be deactivated by providing the right Deactivation Reason, some optional comments, and reviewing the Where used list. In the same way, deactivated entries can be activated by providing the right Activation Reason.

The Configuration consists of the following:

Configuring Transportation Groups for Materials
