Create the SAP Intelligent Agriculture Instance

We will now examine how to create the SAP Intelligent Agriculture instance.

Steps

  1. Within the newly created subaccount, select Instances and Subscriptions and choose Create on the upper right corner of the screen.

Definition of an Instance: A service instance is a single instantiation of a service running on SAP BTP. Service instances are created using a specific service plan. A service plan is a configuration variant of a service. For example, a database may be configured with various "t-shirt sizes", each of which is a different service plan. For more detailed information, refer to the following help documentation: SAP Help Portal: About Services.Screenshot of the SAP BTP Cockpit interface on the Instances and Subscriptions page for the Intelligent Agri subaccount. The sidebar on the left shows options like Services, Security, and Entitlements. The main section has tabs for Subscriptions, Instances, and Environments, each with no current entries. The Create button on the top right is highlighted, offering the option to add new elements. Search filters for Services, Plans, and Statuses are available.

  2. Select the Service and Plan. Then select the Create button in the dialog box.

The dialog prompts for basic info, with dropdowns for Service and Plan. SAP Intelligent Agriculture is selected as the service, and standard is the chosen plan. The Create button at the bottom right is highlighted, allowing the user to proceed with creating the instance or subscription.
  3. The application will now appear in the Instances and Subscriptions screen and the final status will be displayed as Subscribed if it was processed correctly.

The interface shows a subscription to the SAP Intelligent Agriculture application with a standard plan. Details include creation and change dates of 15 Dec 2022. The status initially shows Processing but changes to Subscribed as highlighted. The sidebar includes navigation options like Services and Security.

    Note

The subscription is what enables customers to access the application. At this point, SAP Intelligent Agriculture is going to create the customer database (inside an HDI container in our HANA Database).

After the subscription of the app, you need to create the service broker subscription to enable the API usage.
