Creating Application Parameters

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to describe application parameters to configure system operations in SAP CPQ

Application Parameters

Application parameters are settings that allow companies to configure system operations to fit their needs. To access Application Parameters, navigate to SetupGeneralApplication Parameters. Changes made to application parameters are logged in the User Actions tab of the Audit Trail.

The Application Parameters tabs provide the following options:

General Parameters

There are general parameters that allow you to set general application options that relate to pricing, display, and interface options for different integrations and parameters.

User Parameters

User parameters are set in the Users tab within Application Parameters. This section allows you to alter different user-related options relating to billing and shipping information, passwords, and various formatting options.

Product Catalog

Product Catalog parameters provide you with the ability to alter different options regarding products, categories, and product operations in the catalog.

Configurator
Configurator parameters allow you to set specific configurator and responder options.
Shopping Cart and Quote
Shopping Cart and Quote parameters allow you to specify when certain quote and cart operations take effect.
Security
Security parameters allow you to define trusted third-party sources, like CSS and JavaScript files, images and fonts. Secure domains can also be established.

A list of all available application parameters can be found here.
