Analyzing SAP S/4HANA Data Replication Framework for SAP Order Management Sourcing and Availability (ATP and Inventory)

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to review and apply the use of relevant product attributes in the Data Ingestion process for Industry Solutions derived from the Data Replication Framework, particularly focusing on SAP Order Management sourcing and availability considerations

SAP S/4HANA Data Replication Framework - ATP and Inventory

SAP S/4HANA ATP Snapshot can be replicated to SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability using Data Replication Framework using Outbound Implementation CIC_ATP.

SAP S/4HANA Inventory Snapshot can be replicated to SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability using Data Replication Framework using Outbound Implementation CIC_INV_SC.

Diagram illustrating data flow between SAP S/4HANA, Data Ingestion for Industry Solutions, and SAP OMSA, focusing on ATP and Inventory snapshots.

ATP snapshot represents the Stock availability for DCs in a time series. It includes future receipts and issues.

DRF for ATP snapshot uses the default Availability Check Rule (A Sales Order). But it is configurable in SAP S/4HANA.

Inventory snapshot considers the Stock on Hand by Storage Location, Stock Type (Available, Block, Quality) and Stock Special Indicator (Customer Stock, Consignment Stock, Transit, and so on).

Data Replication Framework for ATP Snapshot

Prerequisite: Replication Model has been created including the Outbound Implementation CIC_ATP.

Using DRFOUT transaction a user can replicate ATP snapshots to SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability.

Three execution Modes are available:

  • Initialization: Replicate Inventory for all Products in all Sites available in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Changes: Replicate Inventory for Products/Sites which has been updated since the last DRFOUT run)
  • Manual: Replicate Inventory position for one or more Products in one or more sites which can be selected with Manual Replication Filter criteria.

DRF for ATP contains the ATP stock for Product site DC combinations in a time series including future receipts and Issues.

The most important attributes for ATP are:

  • Product ID
  • Plant ID
  • Context (Segments)
  • Calculation time
  • Availability period form date/time
  • Availability Period to Date/time
  • Available Quantity
  • Unit of Measure

Data Replication Framework for Inventory Snapshot

Prerequisite: Replication Model has been created including the Outbound Implementation CIC_INV_SC.

Using DRFOUT transaction a user can replicate Inventory Snapshots to SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability.

Screenshots of an SAP interface displaying replication model options and manual replication filter criteria settings.

DRF for Inventory Snapshot contains the Available stock for Product and Site (Stores) combinations.

The most important attributes for ATP are:

  • Product ID
  • Plant ID
  • Calculation time
  • Stock Type
  • Special Stock Indicator
  • Storage Location
  • Quantity
  • Unit of Measure

APIs for ATP Snapshot and Inventory Snapshot

ATP snapshot and Inventory Snapshot can also be loaded to SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability from third-party Systems using the relevant APIs to Data Ingestion for Industry Solutions.
