Analyzing SAP S/4HANA Data Replication Framework for SAP Order Management Sourcing and Availability (Products and Locations)

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to analyze the significance and utilization of product attributes in Data Ingestion for Industry Solutions from the Data Replication Framework for products with a specific focus on attributes relevant to SAP Order Management sourcing and availability

SAP S/4HANA Data Replication Framework - Products and Locations

SAP S/4HANA Products can be replicated to SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability using Data Replication Framework (DRF) using Outbound Implementation CIC_PROD.

SAP S/4HANA Sites (Also referred to Plants) can be replicated to SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability using Data Replication Framework using an outbound implementation CIC_PLANT.

Data Replication Framework for Products

Prerequisite: A replication Model has been created including the Outbound Implementation CIC_PROD.

Using DRFOUT transaction a user can replicate Products to SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability.

Three execution Modes are available:

  • Initialization: Replicate all the Products available in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Changes: Replicate Products which has been updated or newly created since the last DRFOUT run).
  • Manual: Replicate Products that can selected with Manual Replication Filter criteria.
Two SAP interface screens for executing data replication and setting manual filter criteria for product and plant.

DRF for products contains many Product Attributes, which are replicated to Data Ingestion for Industry Solutions. But only a subset are consumed by SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability.

The most important attributes in SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability are:

  • Product ID
  • Unit of Measures

Data Replication Framework for Sites

Prerequisite: A replication Model has been created including the Outbound implementation CIC_PLANT.

Using DRFOUT transaction a user can replicate Products to SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability.

Three execution Modes are available:

  • Initialization: Replicate all the Products available in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Changes: Replicate Products which has been updated or newly created since the last DRFOUT run)
  • Manual: Replicate Products that can selected with Manual Replication Filter criteria.

DRF for Sites contains many Product Attributes, which are replicated to Data Ingestion for Industry Solutions. But only a subset are consumed by SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability.

The most important attributes in SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability are:

  • Site ID
  • Site Name
  • Site Address
  • Site Type (Distribution Center or Store)

APIs for Products and Plants

Products and Plants can also be uploaded to SAP Order Management for sourcing and availability from a third-party System using the relevant APIs to Data Ingestion for Industry Solutions.
