In the previous unit, we have given an overview of the data objects that are required in OMSA. There is two master data objects that are required, products and locations. And now I will focus this lesson into the attributes that can be replicated directly from an S4HANA system into OMSA. And there will be one unit later for the site attributes that are not replicated from the ERP, like capacity and peak and pack cost. So products and sites can be replicated if in your landscape, your architecture, you have an S4HANA ERP can be replicated using DRF. And in S4HANA, there is one DRF object available for products. And there is one DRF object to replicate site details. And in the slide, you can see the technical names. So there is an outbound. So DRF use outbound implementations. And there is one per object. So there is one implementation CI for products. And there is one implementation CI for plan C. And the process to replicate this is you run DRF, a transaction in, or you create a job process which runs every 10 minutes, every five minutes. And you feed. And that process, DRF, has the possibility to send a full refresh or full of all the products available in the ERP, or you could basically work on a delta basis, which is you will only send those products to the data ingestion layer that has had any modification since the last time that you ran DRF, right? And that is applicable to all of the DRF objects. So products is one object, and size is another object. Now, when you execute that, you will feed, So what you are doing is you are sending data into the data ingestion layer. Yeah, and then will be consumed from there by many. And one of them would be OMSA, right? And OMSA will consume some of the attributes of data ingestion and some of the attributes of the size of the data ingestion. That is the object you need to use in DRF if you want to replicate products. and then once that you select products, there are replication modes, there are options. You can replicate products in an initialization that will send all of the products, from this for HANA into data ingestion or only changes, and then you can define a number of times, Or you could do a manual replication of one particular product if you have to. So that is applicable to all DRF processes, right? So the important thing is that there is an out-of-the-box DRF object for products to replicate from S4HANA directly into data ingestion from there to OMSC. The same for sites, if there is an object in DRF, CIC, CIC stands for customer industry solutions, for plant. That outbound implementation is already available. If you include it in your replication model, then you can start replicating plants. again, you have three replication modes, right? That will be received into the industry cloud solutions, and then after a few minutes, feed into OMSA. The same for inventory snapshots. Because follow the DRF principles, you will have an object, CIC ATP. That's the one to be used. And again, initialization, changes, or manual replication. And the same for store inventory. There is a replication object, and you can initialize, change, send changes only, or manual replacement. Finally, if you are not using an S4HANA system, there is an API to feed ATP as an option. And that API allows you to also feed time series if you are using time series in your third-party system. So SAP is out of the box because we use the time series concept. But if not, that API allows you to feed inventory not only on hand, but also in a time series. Because the API cannot calculate future receipts and future issues, so that should be calculated by the third party system, right?
