Setting up the SAP Cloud Connector

The SAP BTP Connector serves as the link between SAP Service and Asset Manager App in the SAP BTP and back-end SAP ERP or SAP S/4 HANA system.

SAP Service and Asset Manager requires principle propagation. Principle propagation is necessary to properly perform data distribution and authorization checks in the SAP back-end system.

There are a few key requirements when setting up SAP Cloud Connector for SAP Service and Asset Manager:

HTTP Configuration: BTP Mobile Services communicates with SAP back-end system using HTTP/OData service.
Principle Propagation: Principle propagation to an ABAP system must be configured.
Certificate User Mapping in the hABAP system: X.509 certificate must be mapped to named user in SAP ABAP system.
