Identifying Transactional Scenarios

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to recall the available integration scenarios for transactional data

Overview of Transactional Scenarios

In the earlier units, we have built the foundation: We have learned about the necessary steps to set up working integration scenarios for master data. In this unit, we apply this knowledge to set up transactional scenarios and learn about the specifics of transactional data integration, which is more business-process related in contrast to master data exchange.

Prepackaged integration content provided by SAP supports several integration scenarios for transactional data exchange between SAP Sales Cloud / SAP Service Cloud and SAP S/4HANA. While an overview of transactional scenarios was given earlier in this course, let’s look at them again as a refresher and introduction to the example scenario that we will set up in this unit in the following video:

The sample scenario that we focus on in this unit is the "Create Sales Quote Follow Up in SAP Business Suite" scenario:

The process that will be implemented as an example in this lesson. It starts in SAP Sales Cloud with a sales quote object. After products have been added to it, external pricing can be requested from SAP S/4HANA. Finally, the sales quote is sent to SAP S/4HANA as a sales order follow-up document.
