Replicating a Product

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to replicate a product by performing product replication from SAP S/4HANA to SAP Sales and Service Cloud, verifying message success, and reviewing the received product

Product Replication

In this lesson, we replicate a product from SAP S/4HANA to SAP Sales and Service Cloud and view the result. During the review, we touch on some monitoring capabilities of the systems. This is explained in more detail in the next unit.

The following demonstration shows you how to replicate a single product from SAP S/4HANA to SAP Sales and Service Cloud, which is a good approach for a smoke test to verify that all integration settings, code list mappings, and so on, work.

The demonstration covers the following steps:

  1. Open transaction DRFOUT
  2. Choose Replication Model: This name depends on your settings. The logical system name is often used for that.
  3. Choose Outbound Implementation: 194_3 is the identifier of the outbound implementation for sending products via web services.
  4. Maintain Manual Replication Filter Criteria and select a single product. In our demonstration environment, product P650-100 is used.
  5. Execute the replication by selecting the icon in the upper-left corner or by pressing F8.
Don't forget to specify manual replication filter criteria. Otherwise, all products will be sent.

Review of the Product Message in the Message Monitor in SAP S/4HANA

The login transaction DRFOUT only states that messages were created. It does not state if the messages were sent successfully to SAP Cloud Integration or SAP Sales and Service Cloud.

To ensure that the message was successfully sent, go to transaction SRT_MONI, search for the respective outbound message, and make sure that the Processing Status shows Delivered (green).

Product Review in SAP Sales and Service Cloud

Finally, ensure that the message arrived successfully in SAP Sales and Service Cloud by navigating to the Web Service Message Monitor. If the message is processed successfully, then view the created product in the Products work center.
