Leveraging Integrations and Reporting

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to demonstrate how to utilize reporting and integrations for large scale Profile Worker management.

Reporting Capabilities for Profile Workers

Nearly all data, including transactional information, can be reported on from SAP Fieldglass- depending on the visibility and permissions of the user that is running the report. Profile Worker data is no exception.

All tenants in SAP Fieldglass are automatically provided a suite of predefined reports. These can be copied and edited to suit the customer’s needs, or if new reports need to be built, reports can be configured from scratch based on a base module.

Predefined Report List

Profile Worker data can be reported on when the report is based on the Worker module. The worker module comprises Contingent, Services, and Profile Workers together so that buyers can view and analyze their entire workforce as they see fit. Utilizing filters within reports, buyers can choose to run specific reports specific to the Profile Worker category if wanting to see non-transactional headcount separately than those associated to billing or having financial impact on operations.

Profile Worker Integrations

Throughout this course, you have seen how Profile Worker records can be added and edited manually in the SAP Fieldglass interface. For many buyers, the ability to add or make changes to their Profile Worker population would be more efficiently managed using upload files and established integrations.

Profile Worker Upload

The same way other data files are loaded into the application, it starts by enabling the appropriate connector; in this case, the Profile Worker Upload connector.

Profile Worker Upload Connector Enablement

Required and optional data would populate the file, following the format provided, and saved as a comma-separated value file (CSV).

Profile Worker Upload File Format

To manually load this file, users would go to the admin menu, select Upload Data from the Integration section, choose the file they want to load, and select "upload."

The status, as well as errors or successes, can be tracked in the Integration Audit Trail.

Profile Worker Upload Integration Audit Trail

For Profile Worker data that needs to be uploaded from another enterprise program, integrations can be established to automate the addition and changes to Profile Worker records. The same connector would need be used and the format followed, but it would remove the need for buyer or supplier users to manually populate and upload this data.
