Engaging a Profile Worker

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to create a profile worker record in SAP Fieldglass and follow the profile workflow to completion.

Profile Worker

There’s actually a third category of external worker in SAP Fieldglass; one that is considered non-transactional, which means they do not use time sheets, expense sheets, or any type of invoicing through the system. At SAP Fieldglass, this third category of worker is called Profile Worker. Typically, buyers will utilize profile workers simply for quick and easy headcount tracking and reporting purposes.

Workers tracked under this category are distinct from Contingent and Services workers in that they often aren’t paid for or directly engaged by the organization that is tracking them.

Create a Profile Worker Record

Mavis, a manager at WorkingNet, is responsible for overseeing access to the Chicago headquarters building. Mavis is working with CleanSweep to make sure their cleaning crews are provisioned and badged appropriately to access their offices. CleanSweep has hired a new cleaning crew member, Cynthia, so Mavis will need to create a profile worker record for her in SAP Fieldglass.

Reviewing the Profile Worker Record

Brian, from WorkingNet’s PMO, reviews all Profile Workers to ensure that all the information is correct before their record is officially created.
