Hi, everyone, in this video, we will discuss how to leverage SAP for media and entertainment, and using the Empowering your Growth Ambitions deck for your own prospect and customer conversations. Feel free to use the industry trends, customer stories, or value drivers provided in this deck to get your prospect's attention. To start, I'd like to provide an overview of SAP's global reach within the media and entertainment industry. Did you know, 83% of the most innovative media companies in the world run SAP solutions? With over 30 years of experience in serving the industry, SAP has a customer base of over 9,000 media and entertainment companies worldwide. We are present in every geographic region, catering to media companies of all sizes, from publishers, agencies, production service VFX companies, to broadcast, streaming music and entertainment companies. Our customers are facing a variety of changes and challenges, many of which may sound familiar to you. In fact, we often hear from customers in the industry. How do I manage my production spend? Content production costs have risen significantly, and with real-time visibility into production spend, and the ability to control and forecast that spend, companies can exercise greater fiscal discipline. How do I get a comprehensive view of content rights and avails to optimize distribution? Can my systems support my growth ambitions in a simplified, non-disruptive way? This includes regional expansion, as well as new business models, for example, subscriptions. How can I provide the business with deeper financial and operational visibility? We see finance at the center of our customer's transformation journey and the ability to get insight into content profitability. How can I have accurate visibility into resource allocation and utilization across my portfolio? And how can I attract and retain the best people? We have a number of customers in media and entertainment, who have embarked on their digital transformation journey with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. Here are a few examples: A media company in US with 14 high-quality market-leading television stations in 9 markets, 52 top-performing radio stations in 11 markets, numerous streaming and digital platforms, as well as local, regional, and national advertising businesses. Customers selected SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud as the company's cloud ERP system. Bavaria Film was founded in 1919 and since then became one of Europe's largest film production and distribution companies, with more than 30 subsidiaries. Bavaria selected S/4HANA Public Cloud to streamline and standardize processes across finance, managerial accounting, and purchasing. A major media and internet services company in Belgium, active in news, entertainment, advertising, gaming, and innovation implemented S/4HANA Public Cloud to lay the groundwork for realizing greater efficiencies from one source of financial truth, to accelerate the monthly closing process and automate management reporting, eliminating reliance on manual and cumbersome processes. A major Latin American mass media corporation: It often presents itself as the largest producer of Spanish language content. They were looking for a digital transformation that allows them to find efficiencies under a security and compliance framework. They bet on SAP, and particularly on S/4HANA Public Cloud, to standardize their finance processes. If you want to becoming mainstream. When it comes to running the current business, media and entertainment companies are faced with continuous margin pressure. They need to do more with less, while remaining competitive and profitable. Higher content production costs: Content production costs have risen significantly. Demand for a personalized content experience: With respect to audiences, we are seeing need for greater insight into consumer consumption habits leading to the development of hyper-targeted content and advertising. Increased pressure on cost and profitability: With business models shifting from B2B to D2C, we are seeing greater opportunities to maximize the value of content and drive new adjacent revenue streams. This is leading to complexity in revenue accounting settlement. Now, let's have a quick look at the challenges. They operate in fragmented systems that require a lot of effort to provide critical insight to run the current business. Siloed distribution models and their underlying financial infrastructure make it hard to support regional expansion, as well as new business models, for example subscriptions. With these challenges and opportunities changing rapidly, you need to run at your best, and this is where SAP can help. We have been at the forefront of many of the significant changes in the industry. From a growth perspective, we see that our media and entertainment customers are focusing on a few strategic priorities. Manage financials: Establishing a unified financial platform that supports fast decision-making in a very competitive environment. A single, integrated source of truth for all people and financial information and processes. Manage production costs: Real-time visibility into production spending and the ability to control and forecast that spend. Maximize media value: Maximize license revenue by increasing visibility of rights avails, and the ability to identify the best value proposition. But there are also growth challenges. Legacy solutions are challenged to support new business requirements, creating manual processes and point solutions. Lack of visibility into key real-time KPIs to maintain profitability in today's volatile business environment. Whether you are a large, mature media and entertainment conglomerate
