Organizational Structures

In SAP Returnable Packaging Management, the logistical organizational units necessary for managing returnable packaging processes are company code, plant, and storage locations.

Organizational units can be maintained in SAP Returnable Packaging Management using the Upload Data app.

For this purpose, the following activities need to be executed in the listed sequence:

  1. Uploading Addresses for Company Codes and Plants:
    1. Template File: AddressTemplate
    2. Reference in SAP ERP: In SAP ERP, locate the address numbers for company codes and plants in tables T001 and T001W. The necessary address data can be extracted from the ADRC table.
  2. Uploading Company Codes and Attributes:
    1. Template File: CompanyCodeTemplate
    2. Reference in SAP ERP: In SAP ERP, company code attributes, such as country and currency, are stored in table T001.
  3. Uploading Plant Codes:
    1. Template File: PlantCodeTemplate
    2. Reference in SAP ERP: In SAP ERP, plant codes and their associated attributes, such as company code, customer and vendor numbers, address, and factory calendars are stored in table T001W.
  4. Uploading Storage Locations:
    1. Template File: StorageLocationTemplate
    2. Reference in SAP ERP: In SAP ERP, the assignment of storage locations to plant codes is stored in table T001L.

      Note

      Please note that only storage locations relevant for the management of packaging materials are required in SAP Returnable Packaging Management.

For any modifications, such as updating a description of an existing organizational unit, re-upload the relevant template file. If you need to remove organizational units mistakenly created, you can use the designated APIs.
