
SAP ERP is the leading system for inventory management, this includes the inventory of packaging materials. To ensure consistency and accuracy of stock information, SAP RPM will periodically retrieve the plant's packaging material stock data from the SAP ERP system, offering users a comprehensive stock overview throughout the supply chain. This includes stock at partner locations, as well as those within own plants.
To retrieve the stock data, the Retrieve Stock Data job must be scheduled to run regularly. The scheduling of this job is handled in the Manage Scheduled Jobs app.
When executed, the Retrieve Stock Data job triggers the API_MATERIAL_STOCK interface to read the latest stock information of packaging materials from the SAP S/4HANA system.
The Manage Scheduled Jobs application further offers insights into the recent execution history of the job, including the timestamp of the last run, its execution status denoting either "success" or "failure", as well as a summary of the execution log.
The Retrieve Stock Data job retrieves the latest stock data to update the stock information displayed in the Returnable Stock Overview app.
In the Manage Scheduled Jobs configuration app, you can specify when a job must run, activate, and deactivate.
