Configuration in SAP S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition
To close the course, we will only touch upon some major points about customizing.
For Private Cloud and On-Premise SAP S/4HANA systems, the configuration for Organizational Changes is part of the SAP Standard Implementation Guide.
There are 3 major configuration parts:
- Prerequisites to transfer open items. Transfer postings of open items are only possible with active document splitting and depends on the availability of the controlling object, product (material), and asset information in the journal entries.
- Preparation Activities for Organizational Changes. Activation of the organizational changes, transfer postings, and selection of logistical documents.
- Business Add-Ins for Organizational Changes. Custom-specific logic for profit center re-assignments.
Configuration in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Systems
For the public cloud systems, the following points apply:
- Settings for Document Splitting are part of the standard content delivery
- Preparation Activities for Organizational Changes are delivered as content with optional scope item 4PG:
- Activation of the organizational change feature and transfer of open items.
- Document type SA is used for transfer postings.
- Sales and purchasing documents independent of their status or creation date are updated with the new profit center.
- A simulation ledger must be maintained using the SSCUI for extension ledgers.
- BadI's are not available
