The Performance Statistics and Analysis tool is a predefined story created by SAP to analyze performance across stories and users.
This tool helps to identify scenarios that have a high-performance impact in the connected backend system. For example, finding out that a broken query in the backend system is blocking processing resources for other users querying that system. You can analyze such things as how a recently established connection affects your backend system, what is the heaviest query, or which models can be improved.
The Performance Statistics and Analysis story contains the following pages:
- Overview
- Backend
- Frontend
- Network
- Long term analysis
Access the Tool
You can launch the tool by going to System → Performance → Statistics and Analysis as shown here.

Overview
The Overview page contains performance KPIs for users, frontend, and network with top 10 users, stories (resources), and connections by queries, as well as models by total execution time.

Backend
On the Backend page, you can analyze KPIs related to query runtime, for example:
- Performance impact for model and story combinations
- Median query runtime for stories
- Average query runtime history

Frontend
On the Frontend page, you can analyze KPIs related to logon, for example:
- Users with highest logon duration
- Number of logons
- Median logon duration

Network
On the Network page, you can analyze KPIs related to network, for example:
- History of median network time
- Top 10 users by median network time
- Maximum network time per session date

Long Term Analysis
The Long Term Analysis page offers long term statistics related to frontend, log on, and backend. You can review the frontend and backend long term statistics by count or percentile using the radio buttons to the left of the chart.
