A supplier in SAP Ariba Supplier Management solutions has several different IDs that identify them in these different systems. Getting Started with Supplier IDs in Supplier 360° Profiles in SAP Ariba Supplier Management

In this video, you'll learn about the different supplier IDs visible in supplier 360° profiles in SAP Ariba. You must have the appropriate permissions to view supplier 360° profiles. For information about the user groups that grant access to this functionality, see the Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management Group Descriptions guide in the SAP Help Portal. A supplier in SAP Ariba Supplier Management has several IDs that identify them in various interconnected systems such as SAP Ariba Applications, SAP Business Network, and integrated ERP systems. The Supplier ID panel in the Supplier 360° profile shows the SM Vendor ID, ACM ID, ERP ID, and AN ID associated with the supplier. The SM vendor ID is a unique ID that SAP Ariba assigns automatically to suppliers in the unified vendor model. ACM ID is a unique ID assigned by SAP Ariba that identifies suppliers internally within SAP Ariba applications. It is also sometimes called the S4 Org System ID, but it is important to note that the S4 here is not related to  SAP S/4HANA. Suppliers created in SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management solutions typically have ACM IDs that start with ACM_. In suite integrated sites, suppliers created in SAP Ariba Procurement solutions start with buyer_. The ACM ID is used in suite integrated sites to link common suppliers in SAP Ariba Procurement solutions with corresponding suppliers in SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management solutions. The ERP ID is a mandatory ID for the supplier and it must be unique in combination with the supplier's source system. The supplier's ERP vendor ID can come from one of the following sources: automatic assignment by SAP Ariba, data import, migration, or synchronization from an integrated ERP system. Let's discuss each of these sources in greater detail. SAP Ariba automatically assigns an ERP vendor ID that starts with VDR and a source system of SM to all new suppliers created manually in SAP Ariba through an approved supplier request. In sites integrated with SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA, this VDR ERP vendor ID is a placeholder until the supplier is synchronized to the integrated system and obtains the actual ERP vendor ID. Customer administrators can create suppliers in SAP Ariba by importing supplier data, which includes a required erpVendorId field. They can also use data import to update the erpVendorId in some circumstances. When you migrate supplier organizations to the unified vendor model, a specific supplier organization domain ID is migrated to the ERP vendor ID. Which organization ID is migrated depends on organization ID domains and migration options. Suppliers created by synchronization from an integrated SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA system use the ERP vendor ID from that system. If a supplier is initially created in SAP Ariba with a VDR ERP vendor ID and then synchronized to an integrated ERP system, the VDR ERP vendor ID isn't sent to the integrated system. The integrated system creates a new vendor record and sends its ERP vendor ID back to SAP Ariba, replacing the supplier's placeholder VDR ID as the ERP vendor ID. Let's return to the supplier 360° profile to discuss the final supplier ID. AN ID is an ID that SAP Business Network automatically assigns to suppliers when they create accounts there. If the supplier is public, meaning it has a linked SAP Business Network account and an AN ID in your site, their AN ID is shown. If the supplier is private, meaning the supplier exists in your site but doesn't have a linked SAP Business Network account, the AN ID field will display the value Not Available. The AN ID in the supplier's 360° profile is their sourcing ANID and is associated with sourcing and supplier management activities. If your site includes SAP Ariba Procurement solutions and you've established a fulfillment or trading relationship with the supplier, they also have a transaction AN ID for procurement activities, such as orders and invoicing, but that ID is not displayed in the supplier 360° profile. You have now explored the different supplier IDs in supplier 360° profiles in SAP Ariba. Thank you for watching.
