To utilize SAP Collections Management in SAP S/4HANA, scope item BFC (Collections and Dispute Management) must be implemented.
Applications that would be granted to a user will depend upon the role that user portrays in the company. There are 2 main roles in SAP Collections Management. They are collection specialist and collection manager. The collection specialist will be the primary processor for the collections process. The collection manager will be responsible for the management of the collection strategies and related master data for setup and configuration as well as the analysis of the collections process.

Additional authorizations will be needed for data that is relevant to the collections process. This includes activities such as master data maintenance for Business Partners and managing accounts receivable data. Additionally, the Situation Handling functionality can also be used for SAP Collections Management to help direct items to the correct person and would need to be configured.
