Public Demo Tenant and SAP Cloud ALM Web Assistant

In order to follow some content of this learning journey, it might be useful to check our public demo environment for some hands-on experience in a real life system. This SAP Cloud ALM public demo tenant is available for all SAP customers free of charge here.

The first screenshot shows the homepage of the SAP Cloud ALM - Public Demo Tenant:

Hint

When you use this public demo, you need to be aware that the tenant runs on SAP Business Technology Platform and it is refreshed on a regular basis. There are some demo users provided for different end-user roles, which are provided on the respective support portal page. You can either use the user for the single operations capabilities or use the cross capability user.

Additionally, you can find demo data for the monitoring use cases available to allow customers to try out the different applications. However, please be aware of the following: this data is mostly not coming from real managed systems, but is generated for demo purposes. As a cloud native application, SAP Cloud ALM is under continuous improvement with new features, therefore it is possible that the content of this learning journey differs from the actual live application.

SAP Cloud ALM Web Assistant

As an additional source of information, you can also refer to the built-in Web assistant, which is an interactive help inside of the SAP Cloud ALM User Interfaces (UIs). It can be activated choosing the question mark button in the upper right corner. In the Web assistant, you can either select the UI element you are interested in to get more information on its purpose, or select an entry from the Help Topics list to find the corresponding button in the UI.

The following screenshot shows the SAP Cloud ALM Web Assistant and how to start it:

The context help shows information for particular areas on your current application screen. It enables you to get orientated quickly in new, rarely-used, or complex application interface. Furthermore, it explains changes in the application or emphasizes information that is important.
