SAP Focused Run is designed for businesses that need high-volume system and application monitoring, alerting, and analytics. It's a powerful solution for service providers who want to host their customers in one central, scalable, safe, and automated environment.
It addresses customers with advanced needs in system management, user and integration monitoring, as well as configuration and security analytics. SAP Cloud ALM becomes an important data provider. Your SAP Cloud ALM tenant and your Cloud Connector system jointly act as a reverse proxy for SAP Focused Run. Via this connection, Cloud Services are automatically synched to SAP Focused Run via the Landscape Sync, while SAP on-premise and private cloud systems are directly connected via the Host Agent and the Simple Diagnostics Agent.
The next flowchart illustrates the integration of SAP Focused Run with external components:

All push-enabled SAP SaaS and customer-built SAP BTP PaaS Services deliver their data via SAP Cloud ALM to SAP Focused Run. There are also some pull-enabled SAP SaaS Services, which can deliver their data directly to SAP Focused Run.
An important role in this concept plays the new data collection infrastructure, enabled by OpenTelemetry@SAP, which standardizes the data delivery for services, that are already supporting SAP-managed connectivity to SAP Cloud ALM. The advantage for these SaaS services is, that the connectivity to SAP Cloud ALM can be established automatically without the need of further configuration.
This image demonstrates the process of how Cloud Service Availability Notifications are transferred to SAP Focused Run.

SAP Focused Run customers can use SAP Cloud ALM also as a proxy to receive status event notifications from SAP for Me. Via the SAP Focused Run Reverse Proxy in SAP Cloud ALM, it is also possible to transfer the availability notifications for the different cloud services. These Cloud Service Availability Notifications from SAP for Me (like disruption, degradation, maintenance) are first forwarded to Business Service Management in SAP Cloud ALM. In SAP Focused Run, the data is used by different applications. The data for planned downtimes is used in the IT Calendar, Disruption and Degradation Alerts can be utilized in the Alert Management, and Planned as well as Unplanned Outages are evaluated in the Service Availability Management.
