Territory management allows you to define, create, and realign complex territories through an easy-to-use user interface.
Territory management also allows you to manage complex territory rules through one system and integrate with territory definitions in SAP S/4HANA or SAP CRM, allowing an organization to leverage existing investments.

Scoping to enable territory management
You can scope your system so that realignment runs remove territory assignments for accounts that, based on current rules, qualify for no territories.
It is always recommended to enable this.

Assign employees to territories

As an administrator, you'll need to define a territory realignment run for employees. You can assign one territory to an employee, as well as search for and display territory changes in business documents, like contracts. Territories assigned to business documents appear in the Quick views of the documents, as well as in the overview list when searching them.
