SAP Dataphere
SAP Datasphere creates a business data fabric architecture that uniquely harmonizes mission-critical data across the organization and enables business experts to make impactful decisions. It previously combines separate capabilities into a unified service for data integration, cataloging, semantic modeling, data warehousing, and virtualization of workloads for both SAP and non-SAP data.

With SAP Datasphere, you can bring together data from on-premise and cloud environments from SAP or a third-party into a single, fully managed cloud environment to fundamentally simplify your company’s data warehousing landscape. It offers:
A secure environment supporting diverse data application needs, including real-time analytics, governed data access, a data catalog, and data science (machine learning)
Spaces that are created and provisioned centrally to provide secure modeling environments for different departments or use cases
A variety of connections to SAP and non-SAP cloud and on-premise sources, including data lakes
Graphical low-code/no-code tools to support self-service modeling requirements for business users
Powerful built-in SQL and data flow editors for sophisticated modeling and data transformation requirements, as well as support for third-party tools and other SAP IDEs
An embedded data marketplace to consume external data products and create internal data products
An easy-to-use data matching environment to enrich existing datasets with external data from Data Marketplace, CSV uploads, and other third-party sources
A catalog to support self-service analysis of data and analytic assets, glossaries and terms, and key performance indicators
Multidimensional modeling with powerful analytics and built-in data preview
A graphical impact and lineage analysis to visualize data movements, transformations, and other dependencies

Core Data Service (CDS) Views
The virtual data model (VDM) is a structured representation of Core Data Services (CDS) views in SAP S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA Cloud. The VDM forms the basis for data access in SAP S/4HANA in, for example, analytical tasks or APIs. The CDS views that make up the VDM follow consistent modeling and naming rules. They display business data – stored in abstract database tables – based on business semantics and are therefore easier to consume.
To access the data you need for your own applications, you can reuse existing released CDS views that are already available in the VDM. For example, you can define views that aggregate and analyze data in layered form. The system first takes into account existing views delivered by SAP and then custom views that correspond to your specific use case.

You can use CDS views to access IS-U billing and IS-U billing data, and to create such evaluations.

In your daily business, utilities companies need information about key performance indicators (KPIs), such as devices to be changed or contracts that are blocked for billing.
In this SAP S/4HANA virtual data model, cubes allow the selection of the data and the determination of the KPIs. Cube-based query views can then be consumed by front-end tools to visualize and analyze data.
SAP provides a sample query view for each cube in the utilities area, which you can use directly without making any adjustments. Alternatively, you can build your own query views. Please also refer to the recommendations listed in SAP Note 2682712 - Release status of CDS View-based Cubes and Queries in IS-Utilities.
