Asset Management (EAM) Architecture

SAP Asset Performance Management (APM) enables asset risk and criticality assessments including inspections and checklists. It supports best strategies to maintain assets like RCM and FMEA. Via the Internet of Things, it connects with assets for real-time insights on their condition, and uses advanced analytics and machine learning to enable predictive maintenance.

A circular diagram represents various components of asset management using SAP solutions. The center of the diagram has a blue ring labeled SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA. Radiating out from the center, the circle is divided into sections with different labels. At the top, Asset Network & Collaboration. Going clockwise, sections are labeled Asset Performance Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Maintenance & Service Operations, and Mobile. Sub-labels within each section are: Asset Strategy & Performance and Asset Health Prediction & Optimization for Asset Performance Management; Execution & Reporting and Scheduling & Dispatching for Maintenance & Service Operations; and Planning & Orchestration for Mobile.

APM is integrated with Maintenance Operations in S/4HANA to cover the overall asset lifecycle and achieve optimal value from the utility assets by establishing a balance between required performance, cost, and risk.
