Explaining the Roles Available in the Solution and the Associations to the Users

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to use the roles available in the solution and properly assign them to users

Roles for User and Farm

The image displays five icons representing different roles in farm management. From left to right, the roles are: Data Scientist (depicted by a funnel with dots), Farm Manager (depicted by a person surrounded by connected nodes), Farm Operations Planner (depicted by a clipboard with checkboxes), Farm Operator (depicted by a tractor), and Master Data Manager (depicted by interconnected arrows). Each role is labeled below its respective icon.

In SAP Intelligent Agriculture, there are five roles that can be assigned to the users: Data Scientist, Farm Manager, Farm Operations Planner, Farm Operator, and Master Data Manager.

Each role has specific authorizations to create, change, and display data in the different apps and can be associated to one or multiple farms to set the context of the authorization.

A technical role (Administrator) also exists to manage system functionalities with highest access rights, including the ability to onboard and manage external services that can be used for requesting and persisting data in SAP Intelligent Agriculture.
