KPIs Overview

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are aspects of a company’s strategy that can be measured by quantitative or qualitative data. KPIs are used to track progress against intended results by providing analytical basis for decision making, helping strategic and operational improvement.

In SAP Intelligent Agriculture, KPIs are based on unit of measures that are predefined. KPI values can be maintained using the Field Planning and History app, or loaded using the KPI Service API.

Define KPIs

You must first define KPIs using the KPI Service API before KPI values can be maintained. The KPI Service API enables the maintenance of KPI Definitions and KPI Types. For more information, refer to the following: KPI Service | SAP Business Accelerator Hub

Maintain and Track KPIs

KPIs can be maintained using the Field Planning and History app, or loaded using the KPI Service API. For details on how to load KPI values using the API, refer to the following: KPI Service | SAP Business Accelerator Hub.

As mentioned in Unit 5 (Using the Various Apps), a user has the option to enter KPIs as part of the creation of a Crop Zone within the Field Planning and History app. For different KPIs, it is possible to capture the estimated, predicted, and actual values for future comparisons or data analysis.
