In this tutorial we will create a very simple logic for our application the seminar Management. Let's take a look here. So we have done already the data model the first step. And now we do the business logic. For the business logic we just planned to have the revenue equal the number of participants times the price per participant. So let's go to our develop environment and quickly do that. This is exactly where we left off. The last time we created the business object we activated it. And now we create a script file. So to right click here I say create script files. Here I can select several events. We want to do it on the safe event. For my example I will deactivate mass enablement because then the coding is a little bit more simple. And we just create the before safe event. Here you have other events. Also, you can trigger all the logic on the modifying of a database entry or before the UI has loading it, or you do all the validation that takes you preventing the save. So if something goes wrong, the set returns false, then the save will not be executed, but we just want to do a simple save event here, so I will activate that here. Then you see there is an event created and this is now where we will start coding. So in an event you can visit this dot. You can access the node that you're currently on. And here you can see all the fields. If we find before the description the names and number of participants. And what we want to do is let's first define a variable just for the sake of doing it. Temp revenue. So this is a variable very define our revenue. We don't need to define a type. This can be done during runtime. And then we just say here temp revenue is controlled space. We get the code completion. And here just a temp revenue chooses say equal. With this dot I access my things say number of participants and calculate this. Here I go here to the here I can just use it. I can have all its functions on it. You see. Clear round to string. There are different things here. Check if it's initial. We would just use it now and multiplied with this dot. And then we say here price per participant. Here we cannot just use the value because price per participant is an amount we set. So if it's a dot I can get the currency code, I can get the content. I also have other functions like converting was currency. We will make it simple. Now we just use the content v ignore the currency for now in redevelopment for sure you maybe would need to take into card also the currency. So here we just set it equal to content. So it's very very simple. So now this calculation will be stored to the temp revenue. We would have not needed to do that because actually we want to store it directly here in our total revenue. So in this field also here we need to take the content actually and say the content is equal. The temp revenue. I mean, see, it's very easy. We keep it that simple. Again, more complicated code examples you can still do later. Now we just need to activate this here. So I need to click here and click activate. In this case you see also this updated. So I activate just on the business object level. That's always safe. Then everything is activated underneath. So that's good. Now the activation will run. And after that our logic is in the system. Our database is there. And now if somebody saves the database entry in our database it's already calculating this logic and setting the total revenue. But in order to see that we need to use the interface which we don't have now. And that's the next step to create a user interface. And we see it in the next video.
