Adding Reports and Charts to a User's Home Page in SAP Fieldglass

Users can add reports and charts to their own home page in SAP Fieldglass or to others, providing quick visibility into the data they need the most. Adding reports and charts to a user's SAP Fieldglass home page provides visual representations and data insights that aid in workforce management and procurement decision-making, allowing individual users or even a group of users, a quick on-demand view of the data they need to keep a close eye on. Users with the appropriate reporting permissions are able to assign reports and charts to their own home page or to another user's home page for them. They can even be assigned to a user role so that they display on the home pages of a group of users. Hiring Managers at WorkingNet find that they are running the same handful of reports on a regular basis in order to remain informed and make business decisions. A report called 'Upcoming Worker Ends' is used on a weekly basis to preemptively track which assignments they will need to review and extend. To make accessing this data more efficient, Hiring Managers can set up their own home page to display the data from this report. Here's how Mavis would add the report to her home page in SAP Fieldglass. After she logs in, Mavis selects All Reports from under the Analytics section of the menu. Next, she filters the report list by typing 'Upcoming' in the Name Filter, and then selects the 'Upcoming Worker Ends' Report from the list. Once on the report's runtime page, Mavis can choose to update the filters by selecting a different filter set if desired. Since she only wants her homepage report to display workers with end dates within the next six months, she selects that filter set to apply it. Next, Mavis selects the Actions dropdown and then Set Up Home Page. A pop-up window will appear asking Mavis if she wants to display the report on her home page. She selects Yes here, but to remove it in the future, she can navigate back to this window and select No. An additional option appears after Yes is selected, where Mavis can decide if she wants the data widget to display full size across the homepage or appear as a smaller widget half that size. Mavis selects Full and then clicks Update. Now, the 'Upcoming Worker Ends' Report widget will display on Mavis' home page. This is a great start, but to make it even more efficient for Mavis, she decides to rearrange her home page widgets to bring the report to the top. To do this, Mavis selects the wrench icon towards the top of her home page. This allows her to make changes to her home page, including what widgets are visible and where they are placed for her individual view. She scrolls down to the report widget, and by selecting the up-down arrow icon, Mavis can drag the widget to the top of her home page. Mavis selects Done at the bottom to finish customizing her home page view, and now every time Mavis navigates to her home page, the data within her home page report will update with refreshed data. Another great feature is that she can quickly jump to individual worker records by selecting the worker IDs that display, and she has the option to jump directly to the report's runtime page, or she can quickly download the data by selecting export. In addition to users adding them to their own home page, administrative and PMO users with appropriate permissions can also associate a report or a chart to other individual users or to an entire user role. And once assigned, the individual users can remove or reconfigure their home page as they see fit. For example, if Brian from the Program Office wanted to assign the 'Upcoming Worker Ends' report to everyone with the Hiring Manager user role, he would navigate to the admin menu and select User Role from the User section, select the Hiring Manager User Role from the list, select the Reports and Charts object in the left hand navigation, then search for and assign the report from there. It's important to note that while multiple reports and charts can be added to a user's home page, this can impact application usability since the data for each report or chart is executed whenever the user navigates home. Adding reports and charts to a user's home page in SAP Fieldglass is quick and easy. It empowers users to swiftly leverage valuable insights and make informed decisions directly from their home page.
