Applying rules to change the screen layout in SAP Sales and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Welcome to this video on Layout Conditions in Dynamic Property Rules. You will learn how to configure Layout Conditions step by step. This demo uses a practical example with Adrian Chase, the Sales Representative, to demonstrate a real-life application. First, as an administrator, navigate to the User Menu, choose System Settings, then All Settings, and select Extensibility. Choose Extensibility Administration from the menu. The system will display a list of all business entities in the left panel, grouped by services. Expand Account Service and select the Account entity to access the configuration options. Next, navigate to the Dynamic Properties Tab to manage Layout Conditions. To create a Layout Condition, choose the Plus Icon and select Layout Conditions to launch the Create Dynamic Properties editor. Here you can see the interface where you can enter your rule details. Enter a descriptive rule name like ABCClassificationCondition and add a description explaining the rule's purpose, like Layout condition based on ABC Classification. In the Condition Block, you can set up your business logic. Select the field customerABCClassification. Set the comparison operator to Equals and set your target value to A -  Account A to target high-value accounts. You can add multiple conditions using the Add Condition button and create OR conditions by choosing the + Or button for more complex business logic. Once you've configured your conditions, save your changes. Now that you've created a dynamic property rule, the next step is to learn how to apply it. First, navigate to the Accounts view and open a specific account record from your accounts list. This is where Adrian will see the enhanced interface for his high-value customers. Next, switch to Adaptation Mode. Access your user profile menu and select Start Adaptation. This allows you to modify the layout configuration. The system will now display editing options throughout the interface. Now, select the tab group where you want to apply the rule. Click the edit icon next to the tabs. This will open the Edit Tabs view, where you can see all available tabs listed. Select the edit icon for the specific tab you want to apply the layout conditions to. For example, choose the Sales Data tab. This opens the detailed configuration options for that tab. Open the Rule tab if needed, and in the Visibility Rule dropdown select your previously created layout condition. Apply your changes by choosing the Apply button, and end Adaptation Mode by either choosing the End Session button at the top center or accessing your user profile menu and selecting End Adaptation. Congratulations! You’ve learned how to manage and apply Layout Conditions for Dynamic Property Rules.
