Assigning a Custom Business Object to a B2B Relationship Segmentation Object in SAP Marketing Cloud

Welcome. In this video, we'll explain how to enable a custom business object for B2B relationship segmentation objects and use it in segmentation. Let's start with looking at the B2B relationship segmentation model. This is the standard model based on the segmentation profile. All contact relationships where one contact can be assigned to multiple corporate accounts. For example, a person can work for multiple companies, which is common in a B2B world. In this case, one contact can have a relationship to several different accounts. In the standard Model, you can segment and target contacts or accounts using attributes available such as corporate account name, region, and interaction type. If you want to extend the standard model or customized segmentation, you can use custom business objects or CBO custom fields or custom views. In this video, we are going to show you how to extend the standard model by using a CBO. Suppose you're targeting companies who have a sustainability certification for your campaign. For this, we've already created the CBO account sustainability, which contains fields such as certification, certification types, and more. Now you want to enable this CBO for the B2B relationship segmentation all contact relationships. Let me walk you through the steps. First, I open the Marketing Extensibility app. As mentioned earlier, the CBO account sustainability is already prepared for this video. Using the app, create custom business objects to assign this CBO to segmentation. I navigate to assign to segmentation. Then I click plus icon at the bottom left to create a new assignment. I select the CBO account sustainability I want to assign to segmentation. Next I select the segmentation object contact relationships. Now let's move on to the mapping area to map a CBO to a segmentation object. First, select the elements from the CBO you want to use for mapping India Association in Custom business object field. The association comes from the modeling and as you can see, it's available in the custom business objects. Next step is to define a target select entity in the segmentation object. The custom business object will be assigned to in this case contact relationships. The CBO can be added to the two nodes, either contacts or a count. In our case, the CBO account sustainability contains additional data for accounts, so I select accounts. The CBO is added to the segmentation object by joining the association and custom business object to the target in segmentation object. Once done, I save the assignment is created. In the background, the data source is being adapted accordingly. Integrating the fields of the CBO. Now let's define which attributes are visible for the segmentation objects. I click on the link configure attributes of custom business object in segmentation, and it takes me to the corresponding data source page to find attributes I've just added. I search with the prefix be all zero because attributes are generated with a prefix starting with PO0. So here they are. I can see all the accounts sustainability attributes and they are all assigned to the same attribute group account. Account sustainability. Now I'll click edit to set the attributes I want to see in segmentation to visible as attribute. Once done, save it. We're done with the setup. Let's go back to segmentation and see if we can find these attributes. There in the contact relationship segmentation model. We can find the new attribute group as the last two attributes we set to visible. Now we can use these new attributes as filters. Let's say you want to identify accounts by the type of the sustainability certification. For instance private standard. Finally, you can create a target group from this segment for your marketing campaign.
