Creating an Integration Object and Modelling its Metadata in SAP Commerce Cloud

Hello, my name is Marco. In this video, I'm going to show you how you can easily create a new inbound integration object in the integration UI tool perspective of the SAP Commerce Cloud back Office and Integration Object is a predefined group of attributes that represents a business world view of the types defined in the platform. Let's say, for example, that I want to import a user list from a legacy system into SAP Commerce Cloud. I'll click on the plus icon. And enter a name for my integration object. I'll also select the root type for my integration object. This defines the kind of attributes my new integration object will contain. In this case, I'll choose user for the integration type. I'll enter inbound and click create. Okay, that was successful. However, depending on the route type, an error message might pop up, prompting you to further configure the integration object. If that happens, then a unique key is likely missing for one or more of the essential types in the integration object's definition. You can fix that by marking at least one attribute as unique. In any case, on the left side over here you can now see a tree structure representing the type system composed types of menu integration object. The right side shows the list of the integration object attributes for the currently active composite type. Now I can select the attributes that I would like to include in my integration objects. Metadata. Starting with a root node, each selected attribute gets a checkmark. If I declare an attribute unique or let it be auto created, I am also automatically selecting it to be included in the metadata at the same time. By the way, at least one attribute for each compose type must be labeled as unique. I could continue selecting attributes for the other compose types of my integration object, but that's optional for this video. Let's skip the other compose types. Okay, next step. And that's important.
