Creating Extension Fields in the Fiori Client in SAP Sales Cloud

In this video, you'll learn how to create extension fields using adaptation in the theory client. You can use adaptation to tailor any screen to your business needs. Log on as an administrator and navigate to a screen where you want to add a new field. From the user menu. Start the adaptation mode so that you can make changes to the master layout. Select the UI component and the underlying section where you want to create the extension field. The system highlights the section with a red box. When you want to add a field, the system opens a list of available fields for you to select from. Check the list of available fields. You don't see a field name that works for you, so you create one. Let's create a field named rating. That is a list type. Enter a label name. The system sets the label name as the technical name. You can change the technical name later if you want. Enter a list of values. Save the details to make the field available for all users. Add the field to the master layout. You can see that the field is added to the list of available fields, and also to the header section. To save your changes. Just end the adaptation. Now sales reps in your company can enter the rating as they create accounts.
