Creating Producer and Compliance Records in SAP SuccessFactors Agent Lifecycle Management

Hi, I’m Brian.  This video will demonstrate ways to create producer and compliance records in SAP Agent Performance Management.  Some of the Producer and Compliance data types managed in SAP Agent Performance Management,  or APM for short,  are contacts, contracts, hierarchies, licenses, appointments, verifications, education, insurance, payee banking, and more.  A Producer is defined as any entity that sells products or services and is eligible to receive  compensation payments for those completed sales.  For example, in the insurance industry, producers can be insurance carriers, insurance agencies,  writing agents, general agents, or contracted agents.  With this understanding, I’ll navigate to the User Interface, and show how to locate an existing Producer record.  Multiple search methods are available; however, I’ll navigate to the Manager Portal, then to the Producers tab to  activate a global search for all Producers in my database.  I’ll open an existing record by clicking the Producer ID:  FrankWilliams100.  This existing record offers its fields in the color grey.  This signifies an Active record. The status field also displays the term, Active.  Another way to search for existing Producers is to use the Producer Search fields on the Producer Search page.  I’ll navigate back by clicking the Producer Search link at the top of this page.  I’ll search for Mr. William’s record by entering the Producer ID of FrankWilliams100 and then clicking Search.  If changes are needed with existing records, I must first change the status from active to inactive.  I’ll select Inactivate, located at the bottom of this page.  When this change is completed, required fields are highlighted in yellow and drop-down menus are enabled.  I’ll make one simple change with this record.  I’ll select “No” for Suppressing Correspondence.   It’s important that I activate this record if all of my changes have been completed and saved.   If I don’t select activate, this record will not be available with some searches or reporting functions.  I’ll select Activate and observe that the fields transition back to the color grey.  To manually create new producer records, I’ll navigate to the Manager Portal, the Producer tab and then the Producer Search menu item.  To create a new producer record, I’ll first click New. I move to the Producer Detail page.  This page is, actually, a data form, entitled Producer Detail, however the formal ID of this form is ProducerVerDFI.   If you hover over the form title, you’ll receive a pop-up that displays the actual form ID.  All fields highlighted in yellow, signify required entry of data for the new producer record.  Beginning with ProducerID, I’ll enter a unique, user-defined identifier for this record.  For the sake of time, I’ve already entered the necessary data for this form.  I’ve entered effective dates, birthday, social security number, external producer and Producer capacity.  I’ve entered the Producer’s name and selected the producer type from a list of options.  I’ve also selected the Producer’s status and employment status.  After saving my selections, I am ready to Activate this new record to enable this for viewing and reporting functions.  With the ever-changing regulatory environment, SAP Agent Performance Management  supports preconfigured integrations with: NIPR, DTCC, FINRA, and other regulatory compliance registries.  These integrations help ensure producers have valid and recorded credentials and that  APM’s data is synchronized in real-time with compliance regulatory agencies.  Navigating to the Manager Portal, I will use Frank William’s producer record to show the compliance components.  I’ll select the License Search menu item.  Mr. Williams has an active license with two entries for Letter of Authority.  The first letter is for Dental. The second is for Health. I’ll return to Producer Detail by clicking the link at the top of the page.  I’ll now search for Appointments.  In the United States, an appointment is an accreditation, awarded to producers by each State’s Department of Insurance.  Producers may need to obtain an appointment for each product they sell.  I’ll click the Search button to learn the appointments of Mr. Williams.  He has one appointment with an associated certificate for Health, in the State of Alabama.  I can also view the associated NIPR transaction ID that will be shared with the NIPR regulatory agency.  I’ll view one additional compliance record. I’ll navigate back to the Producer Detail page and then select Education Search.  I’ll view the Annual Certification record for Mr. Williams.  This record shows that he passed his annual Alabama certification with an effective date of August 2017.  There are other compliance related menu options available. I’ll navigate back to the Producer Detail page and  then select the arrow icon to view items like Verification, Beneficiary, and Producer Identifier.  These are also compliance components that are managed in APM and integrates with the United States federal, state,  and local regulatory agencies.  In this video, I offered ways to search for existing records, and I demonstrated how to  manually create and manage producer and compliance records in SAP Agent Performance Management.  Thanks for watching.
