Customization of Master Form Templates - SAP S/4HANA Finance

Hello, and welcome to this microlearning for SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Finance. My name is Johannnes Haselmayer, and I workas a consultant in the S/4HANA Cloud MEE team. In this video, you will learn how to customize your master form template in SAP S/4HANA  Cloud, using the Adobe LiveCycle Designer application. First, I want to explain the purpose of formtemplates and why it makes sense to have your own corporate master form template. After that, I will explain how you can customize your master form template in SAP S/4HANA  Cloud, using Adobe LiveCycle Designer. For the customization of your master formtemplate, we will also have a look into the systemtogether. As they are part of the daily business of ourcustomers, form templates play an important role. They can be used for several business cases like invoices, dunning, down payments, and so  on. Form templates like dunning notices have a high  visibility, as they will be read by your customers. Therefore, it is essential to have your own customized master form template with your corporate branding. Form templates are usually divided into a layoutpart, and a content part. In the layout part, SAP S/4HANA Cloud allows you to define a global layout for all yourforms. You can apply your corporate branding to yourglobal layout, which you then deploy to all your billing, sales, purchasing documents. In the content part, the requirements for formtemplates differentiate for individual business applications. If you are interested in further information on the content part, feel free to watch the microlearning about content form templates  as well. Your customized master form template defines the page layout which is displayed on eachforum page. Examples for a customized master formtemplate can be a header, a footer, or a logo, which you use for all business cases. In order to complete the master form, you must download the template first, modify it in Adobe LiveCycle Designer, and upload it to the system again. Furthermore, you can define rules that determine the usage of the master formtemplate. For the next part of this microlearning, let's move on to the system to define our own global layout for form templates. In order to upload a logo to the system, I have entered the Manage Logos app. I will now add the SAP logo from a local folder, which I also give a name. As a next step, I save the changes and view the logo that is listed. I can also add a text in the Manage Texts app. But for the purpose of this demo, we will skip this step and continue with the modification of our master formtemplate. In order to complete my customized masterform template, I have navigated to the Predelivered Templates  tab of the Maintain Form Templates app. For this demo, I have already filtered for the template which I want to download. After selecting the template, I can download it to a local folder of my computer and unzip itthere. I will do the modification of the master form  template in the Master Pages window of the AdobeLiveCycle Designer, which I already have pre-selected. In standard, the logo is located on the right side of the template. But I will now drag and drop the logo to the left side of the template, and move the text to the right side of thetemplate. After saving my changes, I can proceed with the upload of my template. Back in the system in the Maintain FormTemplates app, I will upload the changes which I have made in the Custom Templates tab. Therefore, I click on New and give my template aname. As a next step, I click on the Browse button, and search for the template which I have justmodified. After having selected the correct data source for my new master form template, and the correct form type, my custom master form template is generated. To activate the usage of the master formtemplate in the system, I have navigated to the SSCUI "Define Rules for Determination of Master Form  Template", in which I can define an order of usage for the master form template. The lower the sequence number, the higher the priority of the template. After clicking on New Entries, I give my rule a name and a number. In order to see the layout of my master formtemplate, I have assigned the sequence number "1" for  this demo. Furthermore, I select my newly customized and uploaded master form template. Before I can save my changes, I need to add the logo which I have uploaded to my master form template in one of theprevious steps. Now I can save my changes. To check if the changes I have applied work, I enter the Create Billing app. For my pre-selected billing item, I will display the generated billing document from the Output Items tab. After clicking on the PDF icon, the preview shows that the logo is now on theleft side, as I have applied it in Adobe LiveCycle Designer. This concludes my demo. Let's summarize the key learnings. You have learned how to upload logos to your  system. Furthermore, you have learned how to edit the layout of your master form template, changing the
