Defining Teams and Story Permissions in Embedded Analytics for SAP SuccessFactors Incentive Management

Hello my name is Cheryl and welcome to Defining Teams and Story Permissions in Embedded Analytics for SAP Commissions. Teams are a group of users assigned for a particular purpose or reason. For example, you can create a “Manager Team” or a “Sales Rep Team." Admins or Authors can use Teams to expedite sharing a story in analytics. You can create Teams once you have user records in analytics. Teams are useful when sharing stories or files in the system. For example, you can share a story with all members of a team without having to assign users one by one. Only Administrators can create Teams. From the Main menu, click Teams, then click the plus icon to create a Team. Add the Team Name, Description and Team Members. You can also create a Team with a folder. To define the Folder name for a Team, use the Check box “Create a Folder” and maintain the same Team Name. This way the naming convention stays consistent. This creates a folder under the My Files option. Folders allow Authors and Administrators to place the story within the folder and automatically assign Teams to a story under the corresponding folder. To update a Team. First click on the desired Team. Now, you can edit the team name, description or add or remove members from the team. Click Save once you have completed making your desired changes. Let’s discuss how to share a story. A story can be shared to individual users or Teams. A story can be created by Author or Administrator. Stories that are placed within a particular team folder are automatically shared to the team. Once you are within the story. You can click the share icon to assign a story to a team or individual users. You can also assign the access level. You can search for individual users or a team by typing their name in the search box or you can use the user icon to see the complete list of individual users and teams.  You can also control the access level for individual users or teams. Access levels are view, edit, full or custom. Custom access gives more flexibility to control story access. Individual users only see stories that are shared with them. This concludes this video.
