How to Use Radio Frequency Devices during Inbound Processing - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Supply Chain

Hi everybody and welcome to microlearnings. With this microlearning, we will cover the inbound process using RF framework to show how it can be processed via scanner device. My name is Ahmet Durmaz, I'm an SAP S/4HANA Cloud business processes consultant with focus on warehouse management. As you can see, our main focus in this microlearning is the inbound process. First, we will shortly discuss the inbound process steps, and then we will see the inbound process within a system demo. There are many companies that operate which purchase orders. And based on this purchase orders with inbound deliveries. This is how our inbound process is also designed. In the first step, a purchase order is created and based on the purchase order, an inbound delivery is generated with a WM managed storage location. This ensures that the inbound delivery is distributed directly into the EWM system. And in our system demo, we will also start from the third point. And that is, we are going to work with warehouse management apps, post the goods received and have a warehouse task created automatically. This will be assigned to our resource using queues and queue determination. Our resource in the warehouse can process the warehouse order using the scanner device via RF framework. And this brings us to the last point, the final put away. Let's have a look at this process flow in the system. In order to not to exceed the scope. We start from the third point in our process flow. This means that an order has been created based on the purchase order, an inbound delivery has been generated and distributed to the EWM system. We switched to the app Change Inbound Deliveries and first create a handling unit which contains all items. This is our inbound delivery. And I will just click on the tab, unpacked items. Just mark the line and click on create mixed HUs. As the packaging material, I will use a palette. And just say Create. Now we have packed our item and now we can just pose the goods receipt. And if the putaway control indicator is maintained in your master data, we can click on Create Tasks. And a warehouse task is created automatically. The warehouse task has been created. And now we go to the warehouse monitor app and have a  look at the warehouse order. I will expand the note documents and double-click on warehouse order and only check open warehouse orders and execute. As we can see, there are currently three open warehouse orders existing. And the last warehouse order with the number 1209 is our created warehouse order. At the button we can see the corresponding warehouse task. As we can see the last column resource. And we can see that the warehouse order has been assigned to our resource. Now we open the app test RF environment for the resource and automatic login is activated in the settings. And so we can directly go to the inbound process and search either for the handling unit number or we can search for the warehouse order number. In our example, we will use the warehouse order number. In our example, we will just copy and paste the rows or the number and press Enter. Now we can see what product is actually requested. We see where the product is located and how many pieces there are to process. In the warehouse, our resource would now scan barcodes and enter the quantity. In our, in our example, we need, we need to copy and paste and press enter and move on to the next window. We will be asked again to scan the product and the final destination bin and enter the quantity. So we start first with scanning the product TG20, so copy and paste in our case. Secondly, we enter the quantity also with copy and paste. And the final destination bin needs to be scanned and just press enter. Now the system jumps back to the starting point for entering the warehouse order number. This means that the warehouse order has been confirmed, successfully. Go back to the warehouse monitor and see if the warehouse order has been successfully processed. I will just click on refresh and we see that there are no open warehouse orders anymore. This means it has been confirmed. Thank you for watching this microlearning. For further learning checkout to openSAP website. Thank you and goodbye.
