Integrating Safety Instruction in SAP Environment, Health and Safety Management with Maintenance Processes

Hello and welcome to Microlearning about how to integrate health and safety management with asset management in SAP S/4HANA Cloud. My name is Olga Goncharova and I am working as a business process consultant in the area of SAP S/4HANA asset management. In this video you will see how you can integrate safety instructions with asset management objects. Let's get started. To improve safety of maintenance work and increase visibility of operational risks, you can activate the integration of safety instructions in SAP Environment Health and Safety Management with maintenance processes. You can add safety instructions to task lists and maintenance orders to ensure that workers are aware of health and safety measures that they need to take during a maintenance activity. Safety instructions can be added throughout the maintenance activity for Reactive Maintenance, Proactive Maintenance, Operation and Overhead Maintenance, and Improvement Maintenance. Maintenance technicians can also see the safety instructions associated with the job in the list of attachments in Fiori app Perform Maintenance Job. Let me show you in a system demo how it works. I want to start with the customizing. In Manage your solution app, go to Configure Your Solution, and as an application area you choose Asset Management, and as sub-application area, Maintenance Management. In the General settings, there is a configuration step, Activate Integration with Environment, Health and Safety. And here you can enable the integration for maintenance planning plans. Now I'm opening the Operational Risk Management and here the Manage Safety Instruction for Equipment app and create and release a safety instruction for equipment. This creates a document inforecord of type SSI and links with the equipment. Now I can assign the safety instructions to task list and task list operations or direct it to a maintenance order. In the creation process of a task list, I go to Documents, click on Add Safety Instruction button, search for safety instructions using selection criteria, and assign them to task lists and operations. The safety instructions are inherited from Environment, Health and Safety. If I create, for instance, a Preactive Maintenance Order, put a technical object, this is an equipment number, and then go to Documents and click on Show/ Hide Documents of Dependent Objects. Automatically from the Equipment Master I see the safety instruction, which is assigned to the equipment. If I mark here, the original file is visible below. I can add additional safety instructions independent on the equipment which is assigned to this order. Technicians can view safety instructions in Perform Maintenance Job app in the list of attachments.
