Hello and welcome to this micro learning for SAP S/4HANA Cloud for finance, introducing product cost planning for standard cost estimates with focusing on costing variants part two. Please make sure you watched part 1 first. We will continue with the remaining tabs quantity structure and additive costs of the costing variant in this micro learning. In the tab quantity structure, you determine how the costing lot size is handled. The pass on lot size setting controls whether the system determines the costing lot size using the lot size of the highest material in the bill of material and the input quantities of the components. If you select "no" the materials further down in the structure are not costed in accordance with the lot size in the costing 1 view of the material master record of the highest material in the BOM. When the materials in the next highest costing level are costed, the costing results of the semi-finished materials are not converted to the lot size of the finished material to calculate the material costs for the finished product. In the MRP4 view of the material master record, you can specify that a material is planned as an individual requirement. If such a material is added to another material, costing uses the lot size of the highest material if you select only with individual requirement. If you select all ways, the costs for all the materials in a multi-level BOM are calculated using the costing lot size of the highest material. This function is used principally in sales order costing. If you are costing sales orders using product costing for a material with a multi-level BOM that is produced in-house, choose only with individual requirement or always. If the costing variant is used in a costing run as it is the case for costing variant PYC1, this indicator should be set to No. Selecting the indicator transfer control can be changed, enables you to manually enter the control parameters for the transfer of existing costing data when you call up the material cost estimate. If this indicator is not selected, you cannot change the transfer control in the application. In the costing variant PYC1, this indicator is not set. Even if you change the transfer control while creating a costing run, it is changed back to the transfer control that is assigned in the costing variant PYC1. as you can see here in the example. If you cost a material with a BOM, the system first explodes the BOM and then costs the materials level by level in the structure. The costs are rolled up. If a material in this BOM is costed with errors, it receives, the status costed with errors. This status is passed on up to the highest material. If you set this indicator, here transfer active standard cost estimate if material costed with errors the when materials are costed with errors, the system searches the structure for an active standard cost estimate and uses the cost component split of that estimate to continue costing up to the highest material. If the system cannot find an active standard cost estimate for the material with errors in the structure, it searches for a price in the material master in accordance with the valuation variant and uses this price for costing. If you do not set this indicator, the price for the material is taken from the material master in accordance with the valuation variant. In this way, the cost estimate for the header material can receive the status costed without errors, even though a material in the structure was costed with errors. In costing variant PYC1 the indicator for transfer active Standard cost estimate if material costed with errors  is not set. According to the valuation variant, the standard price of this example material would be taken in case the cost estimate for a material contains errors. Let's move on to the last tab of the costing variant. You use additive costing to add costs manually to a material cost estimate when they cannot be calculated by the system. Examples of such costs are freight charges, insurance costs, stock transfer costs, incomplete or changed BOM and routings. This allows you to add costs to a cost estimate that was calculated automatically. With the app Create additive costs, you can add costs manually to a material cost estimate. If you select the option ignore additive costs, you cannot manually create any cost components for this costing variant. If your transfer existing costing data under this costing variant, any existing additive cost estimates will be ignored. Select the option include additive costs so that you can enter cost components for this costing variant manually and include them in other cost estimates. You can also control whether the additive costs are to be included when calculating overhead. Select the option, include additive costs and apply overhead so that you can enter cost components for this costing variant manually, include them in other cost estimates and calculate overhead using these costs as a basis. If you want to include the additive costs in a stock transfer from one organizational unit to another, set the indicator include additive costs with stock transfers. This indicator ensures that manually entered cost components for materials with a special procurement type for stock transfer are taken into account. To ensure that the additive costs are included, set the indicator include additive costs for each valuation strategy in the valuation variant. The standard setting of costing variant PYC1 doesn't include additive costs at all. Thank you for listening to part two. This concludes the topic of introducing product cost planning for standard cost estimates with focusing for costing variants. You have now understood the impacts of the configuration for the costing variant. For more information, please check the configuration help.
