Introducing System Service Operations in SAP Cloud for Customer in SAP Sales Cloud

Hello and welcome. My name is Ankit Kumar. Have you been wondering how to manage your cloud for customers systems and perform their service operations?  Well then this video is for you. I will be taking you through the various service operations that you can perform on your systems.  Performing tenant service operations is a crucial part of the maintenance.  Let's get into SAP cloud for customer system and get a closer look of for various system service operations.  I will start on the system screen. Systems view offers you various self-service operations to perform a system, service or operations on your production and test systems.  In this screen, you can request creation and termination  copies, solution profile, restore points and refresh system.  To request service operations, go to the Systems View under Service Control Center. You can see various buttons to trigger different functions.  Note that several functions are only available when you are logged on to your production system test, and the production tenant can be triggered or requested.  By clicking on the Request Creation button, fill the mandatory details  and click save. You can see that there are three scenarios in the test. Tenant creation, initial system, initial system, copy, solution profile, and copy of source system.  To request test tenant, click on Request Creation button.  Select the tenant type as a test tenant and select the data source.  Fill the required details and save the entry for the data source as initial system and initial system. Copy solution profile. SAP does not require any downtime. However, for the test tenant creation with the data source as a copy of Solar System, you must specify the downtime  when SAP can perform the creation by taking down the source tenant.  There are two scenarios in the production tenant creation request  that is, initial system and initial system copy solution profile.  Repeat the steps we performed in the request creation.  Click the request creation button. Select the tenant type as a production tenant. Select the data source. Fill the required details and save the entry. Upon successful submission of the request, a message is displayed at the bottom of your screen.  Request termination operation is only valid for the test tenant and not for the production tenant. If you want to terminate your existing test tenant, you must select the test tenant.  Click the request Termination button and save the entry.  Similarly, the copy solution profile function is helpful  when you already hold test and production tenants,  and you can copy the solution, profile or implementation projects between these tenants to request copy solution profile.  You must select the tenant and click Copy Solution Profile in the pop up window.  Fill the details and save the entry. Next we will discuss the Restore Point Service operation.  It has three functionality that are Restore Point creation, Restore Point Termination and Reset to Restore point.  A restore point is a complete copy of a tenant, and it's saved as a snapshot of the source tenant's data at a specific point of time.  To request a restore point. Select the system and click Request Restore Point.  Enter the downtime and click save to request  termination of Active Restore point of your tenant.  You must select the tenant with the Active Restore point and click terminate. Restore Point to complete the request. Fill the details and save the entry.  The last operation for the created or activities to point is reset to restore point.  If you want to reset your system to the date of Active Restore point,  you must select the system that has the Activity Support point and click reset to Restore point. Enter the details and click save. The refresh system process provides you the flexibility to request for a tenant refresh of an existing tenant.  It provides two types of a tenant refresh empty tenant refresh and tenant refresh. From a source system test or a production empty system. Refresh is the process where a test or production tenant can be emptied of all resulting data, and retain the same URL and ID of the tenant for the empty test rental refresh. You must select the test tenant and click Refresh System.  Here you can select the refresh type as empty System refresh.  Fill the details and click save to request empty production. Tenant refresh. You must reach out to SAP support by creating a ticket from your test tenant.  Lastly, tenant refresh from a source system is to do a full copy of a source tenant to the target tenant.  Switch the identities that are tenant ID and URL of the test tenant, which will be refreshed in the end.  Original test tenant is decommissioned by this process.  To request test tenant refresh with your source system, select the test tenant and click the Refresh System button.  Select the refresh type as a refresh from a source system.  Fill the mandatory details and click save. You can monitor all your service requests and their details  from the service request view under Service Control Center.
