Monitoring Messages End-To-End in SAP S/4HANA, SAP Integration Suite, and SAP Sales/Service Cloud Version 2

This video demonstrates how to monitor replication messages on their route through the involved systems using each system's monitoring tools. We start in SAP S/4HANA in the transaction DRFOUT. We'll use product replication for this example, and we have already selected the replication model and outbound implementation. For the monitoring demo, we select a product based on its material ID. Then we can start the replication. Once the replication is finished, the log is automatically displayed. Some entries provide a details view where you can finally see the selected products based on the filter settings. Open transaction SRT_MONI to view the web service message monitor. Don't forget to start with a /n when switching from another transaction. The selection screen allows you to search for messages with specific criteria. If you want to see all recent messages, you can simply choose Execute or hit F8. Here we can see our message with a green status. This time, the status means it was successfully transmitted to cloud integration. Don't get confused with the other product messages. They were created earlier and may have been triggered by users editing products in the system. Keep the message ID in mind. We can use it to track a message across the systems. Double-click on a row to view details of that message. The detail screen shows the message body and, in case an error occurred, the error messages. Here, we can see that the message carries its ID in the message header fields and other information, such as the sender and receiver systems. You can also view the message as XML using these two buttons. Okay, let's move on to cloud integration. Navigate to Monitor, Integrations, and APIs. The tiles in the Monitor Message Processing section already tell us that there are 11 messages and all have been processed successfully. Choose the All Artifacts tile. In the message list, you can view details for each message. Here, we can see the message's ID, which is referred to as Application Message ID. If the log level of this integration flow was set to Trace before processing the message, we could even access the content of the message and other processing details from here. Finally, open your SAP Sales and Service Cloud Version 2 system. Open the settings and navigate to All Settings. Search for Monitor and locate the Message Monitoring option on the integration card. Also here, we can identify the message by its ID and see that it was successfully processed. That means we could find the product in the Products app. Choose the message entity name to view more details. If we had confirmation messages enabled, we could also see the confirmation message for this product in this list. Here, you can also view the message content and processing details by choosing one of the actions for each row. As a last step, we can view the product in the Products app. Close the message details and open the navigation menu. Search for Products and open the Products app. Here we can see the replicated product after successfully processing it. You can open the product details screen by choosing the small icon next to its name. This looks good. This concludes the demonstration of monitoring across all systems.
