Navigating Risk Information in Supplier Profiles in SAP Ariba Supplier Risk

In this video, you'll learn how to navigate risk information and supplier profiles in SAP Ariba Supplier Risk. To start, open the Risk detail area of the supplier's profile. Let's explore the five standard tabs that are always visible: Risk exposure, Risk incidents, Enriched corporate info, Engagement requests, and Custom data. Later, we'll review additional tabs you may see depending on your organization's configuration. First, let's look at the Risk exposure tab. The tab displays the supplier's overall risk score, their risk level, and the date of the last update. Below that, a line chart tracks risk exposure trends over time across different categories. This site uses default risk categories, so the chart displays all four category trend lines simultaneously plus overall risk exposure. You can use the Time period dropdown to filter the chart by the last 30, 90, or 180 days. Each dot on the chart represents a specific date. Hover over a dot to see the exposure for each category on that date. The columns below the chart contain recent risk information for each category. Each column displays the current risk exposure for that category. Key contributing factors appear below each category's risk exposure, including recent adverse media alerts. Expand any factor to view more detailed information. The export link on this tab generates a complete PDF of the supplier risk profile. The PDF includes information from all sections and tabs in the Risk detail area. Next, let's look at the Risk incidents tab. An Incidents list summarizes all the suppliers' risk incidents from the past two years. Each summary includes individual incidents that occurred closely together. The number in parentheses indicates how many individual incidents it contains. Choose any summary incident to see its details. Below the Incidents list, you'll find the Alerts area. This area features a bar chart that displays monthly alert trends, color -coded by severity level. Hover over a color-coded section to see how many alerts it represents. This area also includes a summarized list of alerts by incident type, collapsed by default. Use the arrow next to the Alerts label to expand this list. Choose any incident to view its related alerts, then select an alert link to open the full media article. Now let's move to the Enriched corporate info tab. This tab organizes detailed supplier information into three parts. The General info section presents data such as legal name, address, number of employees, litigation, and diversity indicators. The Corporate parentage and hierarchies section displays a chart that maps the supplier's corporate structure. Hover over any company to reveal additional location details like city and country. The Country/Region profile section shows Moody's ratings for the supplier's country in various categories. Next is the Engagement requests tab. Only users with the appropriate permissions can access this tab. The Engagement requests section lists the supplier's active engagements (active means not canceled or archived). Below that, the Risk controls section lists any vendor- or service-level risk controls required by these engagements. The Issues section lists issues associated with this supplier's engagements or controls. Let's review the last standard tab: Custom data. This tab organizes your company's custom fields by risk category and displays each category's risk exposure level. Expand any risk category to view its custom fields. Each field shows its name, value, and the date it was last updated. Some fields provide additional information. The Contributing column indicates whether the custom field influences the supplier's risk exposure calculation. A green check mark means it contributes, while a red X means it's for information only. You've now seen the five standard tabs that appear in every supplier risk profile. Depending on your organization's configuration, you may see some additional tabs. Let's review those now. We'll start with the Regulatory & legal tab. This tab appears when your organization imports compliance data for a supplier using the Risk Category Information API for Supplier Risk Exposure. The top of the tab displays the supplier's overall regulatory and legal risk exposure level and score. The Compliance Information section shows whether the supplier has any sanctions or watchlist violations. The Evidence section provides supporting information for any compliance violations. Below that, the Risk incidents section lists incidents related to regulatory and legal risks. Now let's look at the Environmental & social tab. This tab appears when your organization enables the related third-party content and service provider. The top of the tab shows the overall environmental and social risk exposure level and score. Below that, a trend chart tracks risk exposure over time. You can filter the chart by score type and time period. The table beside the chart presents all relevant data, regardless of which time period the trend chart displays. This table lists the risk exposure levels for each score type. Further down, the Additional risk information section provides data from the provider, and the Reports section links to their report on the supplier. The bottom of the tab shows environmental and social risk incidents. Finally, let's review the Financial risk tab. This tab becomes visible when your organization activates a relevant third-party content and service provider. The top of the tab displays the overall financial risk exposure level and value. The trend chart tracks financial risk over time based on your selected score type and time period. A table beside the chart lists all financial score types and shows the supplier's risk exposure level for each. Below that, the Additional risk information section presents data from the provider. Depending on which third-party provider you use, you may see a Reports section with links to reports about that supplier. The bottom of the tab lists financial risk incidents with article links and sources. You've now learned how to navigate risk
