Navigating the Certificates Area in Supplier Profiles in SAP Ariba Supplier Management

In this video, you'll learn about the features of the Certificates area in supplier profiles. The Certificates detail area shows all certificates associated with a supplier. To be included in this area, a certificate must be collected using Certificate questions mapped to the vendor.certificate field in approved internal  or external questionnaires (such as requests, registrations, and qualifications), or modular questionnaires with certificate sections or mapped certificate questions. Each certificate has a summary card with the certificate name, status, and expiration date. You can use the search, filter, and sort capabilities to focus on specific certificates. For example, I'll search for ISO certificates, filter the results to display certificates that have not expired, and then sort by expiration date. You can choose any certificate summary card to open the complete certificate details. The popup includes links for downloading the certificate attachment and opening the questionnaire where the certificate was collected. Details like associated commodities, regions, and departments are also available, but this information is valid only for certificates collected  in modular questionnaires. It's important to note that SAP Ariba does not validate certificate details against the attachment. Approvers are responsible for comparing the attachment to the certificate details before approving the associated questionnaire. You've now learned about the features of the Certificates area in supplier profiles. Thanks for watching.
