Navigating the Qualifications Area in Supplier Profiles in SAP Ariba Supplier Management

In this video, you'll learn about the features of the Qualifications detail area in supplier profiles. This area allows you to view and manage supplier qualifications based on legacy supplier qualification and disqualification projects or process projects. Your organization can also use process projects for miscellaneous lifecycle processes. The Qualifications detail area displays only qualification processes. You must visit the Processes area to see both qualification and miscellaneous processes. This site previously used legacy qualification projects but has now switched to process projects, so the Qualifications area includes two tabs. The Legacy qualifications tab shows legacy qualifications and disqualifications, while the Process qualifications tab shows process qualifications and discontinuations. If your organization has managed supplier qualifications using only process projects, the Qualifications detail area will not have any tabs. First, let's focus on the Process qualifications tab. Here, I can see a summary list of the supplier's qualification processes. The summary list includes an effective date for the current qualification status. You can search this list or filter it by process status, owner, decision maker, expiration date, and other characteristics. If the supplier has more than one qualification process of a specific type, the summary list for that type shows the processes in alphabetical order by category name. In the Qualifications detail area, you can also perform several actions depending on your your role, such as: starting a new qualification process, viewing a qualification process's details, renewing or discontinuing a completed process, and cancelling a qualification that's in process. An administrator in your organization can also cancel a process using a data import. You can't see cancelled qualification processes in the Qualifications detail area. I'll view the conflict minerals qualification process. I can see the process details on this page, including all the modular questionnaires included in the qualification. I can open a questionnaire to view and take action on it, including filling out any internal questionnaires for which I'm a recipient, and completing any To Do or approval tasks I've been assigned. I'll choose Done to return to the previous screen. If you're a decision-maker for a particular process, you can set or change its status in the Process status area. I'll choose Done to return to the Processes detail area. Next, let's explore the Legacy qualifications tab. Since this site previously used qualification and disqualification projects, you use this tab to: see a summary list of the supplier's legacy qualifications and disqualifications, view the details of a legacy qualification project, re-qualify a legacy qualification, which starts a new qualification process project, and disqualify any valid legacy qualifications, which starts a legacy disqualification project. You cannot create new legacy qualification projects once the process project feature is enabled in your site. I'll return to the Process qualifications tab. You've now learned about the features of the Qualifications area in supplier profiles. Thanks for watching.
