Navigating the SAP SuccessFactors Agent Lifecycle Management User Interface

Hi, I’m Brian.  This video offers an overview of SAP Agent Performance Management’s user interface.  Without requiring extensive knowledge of coding, business users can use an intuitive,  user-friendly, pre-configured  user interface to access information quickly and easily.  Fields can be added, moved, or changed.  Reports can be designed and generated to fit specific business needs.  Pages can be customized,  and hierarchies can be created and managed.  I’ll navigate through the user interface, beginning with the login page.  I’ll simply enter a User ID and User Password to sign-in.   If I’ve lost or forgotten my password, I can, or individual users can, manage access,  securely and  independently,  without the assistance of System Administrators.  Once login is successful, the user home page is displayed as the default landing page.  The features and items, displayed with this home page, can be configured to meet the needs of individual  users,  group application users, specific security groups and global users.  I’ll visit my personal profile and various menu items, located at the top- right corner of this home page.  The User Profile gives access to update basic profile information and offers a way to log-out of the application.  I’ll choose My Profile to view these profile details.  I can also send a  password-change email to my personal email address.  I’ll now choose the question mark icon.  With the About option, I can access the active software version.  System Info offers details about the environment, database and other properties of the application.  Quick keyboard shortcuts are also available with the shortcuts link. The Data Dictionary is an important feature that helps define, locate, and map various entities.  In Data Dictionary, I’ll enter the term “Producer.”  I have numerous selections available, based on the ways that this term is used in SAP Agent Performance Management,  or APM,  for short.  “Producer” is defined, core fields are listed, various child entities are displayed, and defined fields are also listed.  Returning to the Home page, I’ll select the clock icon.  This displays the most recently viewed pages in the solution.  The empty Search field allows me to enter any field name and quickly navigate to its location.   I’ll enter the term “Producer” and navigate to the Producer Search page.  To navigate back to the Home page,  I’ll select the Home page icon, on the far-left corner.  Another icon is the “search-by-date” feature.  I can manually enter a specific date or select a date by using the date-picker option.   The default is today’s date however, I’ll need to change this date if I  need to view data that was managed,  prior to the date displayed in this field.  Most of my concentrated work in APM will require the use of Portals.   Navigating to the bottom-left corner of this page, I can expand or collapse the APM-Portal navigational ribbon.  There are three distinct portals: Manager, Integration, and Administrator.  I’ll navigate to the Manager Portal.  Based on your company’s selected implementation, the Manager Portal  allows users to  search globally or  specifically for Producers, Books of Business, OK2,  Compliance Configurations, Field Configurations,  Processing,  Reporting, Correspondence, Workflow and Tools.  Moving to the next portal, the features and functions of the Integration Portal allows data to enter and exit APM.  The tabs housed with the Integration Portal are inbound data, record search, configuration of inbound  and  outbound data, processing, and tools.  The Administrator portal allows designated Administrators to configure security elements,  view and run reports of all system  activity, configure various elements of screens, processes, features, and functions.  It also allows the configuration of user dashboards, to view and run workflow reports, as well as  ways to  validate a Producer’s level of approvals to sell products.  There is also access to optional tools, access to the Data Dictionary, and access to data-log reports.  Thanks for watching.
