Preparing Communication Settings in SAP Sales/Service Cloud Version 2 for the Integration with SAP S/4HANA

In this video, we'll prepare technical communication settings in SAP Sales and Service Cloud Version 2. Log into SAP Sales and Service Cloud Version 2 and open the settings. Go to All Settings and search for communication systems. Create a new system using the plus icon. In the display ID field, enter the system ID of your SAP S/4HANA system. In the demo environment, it is T41CLNT400. Enter a description and leave the technical ID field blank. It will be generated automatically. In the next step, we'll define the inbound authentication. Upload the certificate that we've downloaded from cloud integration in a previous demo. Switch to the Outbound tab and choose Create. Ensure the HTTPS protocol is selected and enter the cloud integration's runtime hostname. You can copy it from a service key or a deployed integration flow. Then, change the authentication method to Client SSL Certificate. The certificate file required here is based on the certificate service key that was created in an earlier demonstration. Additionally, you needed to generate a .px file from the details as described in the linked blog. Upload the certificate to the system. Since this certificate contains a private key, it is encrypted with a password. Provide the password in the field below so the system can decrypt it. Then you can save and activate the communication system. Alternatively, you can just save it and activate it in a second step. This concludes the communication system. Let's continue with the communication configuration. Go back to Settings and select the Communication Configuration setting. At the moment, this list only contains communication configuration templates. Search for the configuration. Integrate master data with SAP S/4HANA. Open it. This communication configuration contains the inbound and outbound services relevant to the integration of master data with SAP S/4HANA. To configure it for our system, we must copy it. As you can see, the copy includes some more details and shows the status Inactive. For the moment, just assign the previously created communication system. Depending on the integration scenarios and scope, you may need to assign a value mapping group, which is set up in another video. When the communication configuration is ready for use, you can set it to active.
