Promoting a Facet in Adaptive Search in SAP Commerce Cloud

Hello, my name is Jeanette, and in this video, I'll show you how to promote a facet to the top of its list using the adaptive search perspective. As an administrator in the adaptive search perspective, I have set up my navigation context to work on the online product catalog and the default electronic store search profile. This is the category aware search profile, meaning category search configurations can be different from the global ones. In this case, I'd like to adjust the facets user see when navigating to the brands category. Right now, they see stores price and resolution first, but logically brands should be first. Let's change this. I can either create a new item under Promoted and select brands, or I can go to the already existing brands facet and click override. This overrides the inherited global facet configuration. And from here I'll simply select promote. There it is. Since I am working on the online version of my catalog, a quick refresh should do it. And there is my promoted facet. If you notice when I go to other pages, facets are in the default order. What stores come in first? So the change I made only applies to the brands category. To reverse my change, I can simply select this cart, override the approach to promote and products, and sauce on pages works the same way you have seen for facets. You can also promote the product by directly clicking here. And with that, this video comes to an end.
