Searching for Suppliers on the Supplier Management Dashboard in SAP Ariba Supplier Management

In this video, you'll learn how to search for suppliers, work with saved supplier searches, and export supplier search results on the Supplier Management dashboard in SAP Ariba Supplier Management solutions. The Supplier Management dashboard and its supplier search are available in sites that include SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance or SAP Ariba Supplier Information and  Performance Management (new architecture). You must have the appropriate permissions to search for suppliers on the Supplier Management dashboard. For information about the user groups that grant access to this functionality, see the Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management Group Descriptions guide in the SAP Help Portal. You can perform a targeted supplier search by entering a search term in the search bar, or you can perform an open search of your organization's suppliers by leaving the search bar empty. I'll enter a search term in the search bar. To initiate the search, press Enter or choose the search icon. I'll choose the search icon. The search results page displays a list of suppliers on the right, along with the number of search results, and a set of permanent search filters on the left. Search filters help you locate suppliers by characteristics such as commodities, regions, ERP integration status, and the supplier's status in lifecycle processes such as registration and qualification. If your questionnaires use search terms, you can search for suppliers based on answers to questions enabled for search. To add a filter based on questionnaire answers, I'll choose Add filters, select the filter I want to add, and then choose Apply. The filter has been added to the search results page. If you run a search based on search terms, the list of available search filters narrows to the options that apply to the suppliers in the current search results. For example, the Registration status filter includes two options that apply to the suppliers that match my search term: Not Invited and Registered. To update the list of available search filters, you can run a new search based on different search terms or run an empty search. I'll run a new, more specific search. This supplier is registered, so the Registration status filter no longer includes the Not Invited status. To filter the entire supplier list using search filters, start by running an empty search. I'll clear my search terms and choose the search icon. I want to locate registered suppliers who agree to our Code of Conduct and have a valid women-owned business certificate. I'll select the appropriate options in the Certificate, Registration status, and Agrees to Code of Conduct filters. Two suppliers meet my criteria. You can save a set of search filters to rerun the search quickly. To save this set of filters, I'll choose Save Search, name the search, and then choose Save. To run a saved search, I'll choose Saved Search and select the name of my saved search. This saved search yielded five results. To delete a saved search, I'll choose Saved Search, then choose the Delete icon for the search I want to delete. I'll choose OK to confirm that I want to delete the saved search. You can export supplier search results to work with offline in a spreadsheet program or import them into a third-party reporting tool. You can export any supplier search results if you've applied at least one search filter to them. You must have the appropriate permissions to export supplier search results on the Supplier Management dashboard. For information about the user groups that grant access to this functionality, see the Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management Group Descriptions guide in the SAP Help Portal. To export my current search results, I'll choose Export, view or change the export settings, and choose Export. The export generates a file with a CSV extension. You've now seen how to search for suppliers, work with saved supplier searches, and export supplier search results on the Supplier Management dashboard in SAP Ariba Supplier Management solutions. Thanks for watching.
